Tumbling (6yrs +)

Explore our recreational tumbling classes for children ages 6 to 18.

Attention Cheerleaders, Dancers, and Gymnasts! Flip 2 It Sports Center’s Tumbling Program is created for students who want to work exclusively on the floor exercise. Tumblers will make use of a variety of equipment such as incline mats, panel mats, resi mats, our 30 foot tumbl trak, rod floor, trampolines, spring floor and cheer floor. There are tumbling classes offered for students of all levels. Tumbling is highly beneficial for current and future cheerleaders, dancers and gymnasts who just want to improve their tumbling skills, flexibility, and strength! Correct technique will be emphasized for all tumbling skills, strength training exercises, and flexibility drills.

Tumbling Class Offerings

Tumbling Level: Intro 1 & 2

Intro 1 & Intro 2 are our beginning level tumbling Classes. These levels will give each student a solid foundation for their future tumbling classes. Students learn proper body positions, forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and a bridge.

Tumbling Level 1

Level 1 tumbling moves into strong handstand positions, round offs, bridge kick overs and beginning back handspring progressions.

Tumbling: Level 2

Level 2 tumbling progresses into standing back handspring, Front handsprings and front tucks.

Tumbling: Level 3

Level 3 will work towards roundoff back handsprings, back tucks, front handspring front tucks.

Specialty Skill Class: Standing Back Handspring

Prerequisites for this class include a handstand, as well as a back walkover.

This class is a 55-minute training for a standing back hand-spring and will be the only skill focused on. Body shaping, strength, flexibility will be focused on through drills and hands-on spotting.

Specialty Class: Tumbling Connections

Prerequisites for this class is a backhand spring

This class is a 55 minute training for high level tumbling connections including round off back handsprings and standing multiple back handsprings.
